The Dodge Intrepid ES for 1993: Improving on 1992

In 1993 Dodge released the Intrepid ES to the car-buying market. The Intrepid came in two configurations: Base and ES. The ES configuration is powered by the 3.3-liter six-cylinder engine, which makes 28 highway miles and 20 city. The Intrepid competes in the Sedan market segment, in direct competition with Infiniti.

Dodge Intrepid Engine Specs

The Intrepid ES is equipped with a Chrysler 3.3 liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 12 valves. The engine is mated to a Chrysler 4-speed Transaxle. This is a long-standing favorite for buyers in the Sedan arena.

The fuel system for the 1993 Intrepid is a traditional SFI, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 18.00 gallons.

Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The Intrepid has power-assisted brakes, with Non-ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.

Vehicle Statistics

The dimensions of the Intrepid ES are 74.40 inches wide by 201.70 inches long. It sits a comfortable 56.30 inches off the ground. It seats a standard five passengers, with 4 doors. The wheelbase of 113.00 allows for limited leg room for the backseat passengers.

The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $17,489 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of an industry-average price. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 4-door Sedan.

The standard warranty period for the Intrepid is 60* months, or 50,000* miles, whichever comes first. This is standard in the sedan market.

Fuel Efficiency

The Intrepid ES received a miles-per-gallon rating of twenty in-city driving and twenty eight when it came to long-distance. Being a gas-powered non-green car, this was exceptional.

We Think…

The 1993 model year was telling year for the Dodge Intrepid. The introduction of several trim levels (along with the ES version) meant that buyers had several options to choose from..

There’s no doubt that Dodge is up to it’s old tricks with the Intrepid? I’m hoping next year’s example is improved.

All of the labour along with a major region of the substance will be furnished by the Colonists themselves. And did you truly view that husband at the Zone Property?
