A lot has been said about the Chevrolet Cavalier for 1997. As Chevrolet’s entry in the coupe market the Cavalier (and in this case specically the Base version) has maintained a good reputation. The 2-door Cavalier is especially appealing to wide market segment, making it a perfect car to help Chevrolet as a brand in general.
Chevrolet Cavalier Engine Specs
The Cavalier Base is equipped with a General Motors 2.2 liter four-cylinder engine that utilizes 8 valves. The Vortec engine is mated to a Hydra-Matic 3-speed Transaxle. This is a long-standing favorite for buyers in the Coupe arena.
